The Local Context of 2023

The Mauritian economy is forecast to expand 5% this year, slower than an 8.7% growth in 2022 due to lower expansion of the manufacturing sector.

Since its independence, Mauritius has never stopped growing and has diversified from the dominant sugar cane industry. Today, Mauritius have moved beyond to manufacturing, tourism, ICT and finance sectors. The aim is to establish Mauritius as a high-income country by 2030.

An important strategic gateway for cargo traffic going into Indian Ocean such as Madagascar, Reunion Island & Seychelles. Globelink Mauritius has weekly direct and transshipment services from Far East, Middle East, Europe and South Africa to Port Louis, and export services to the Indian Ocean inter-island with regular direct services from Port-Louis to Madagascar (Tamatave), Seychelles, Reunion, Mayotte and Comoros. Globelink Uniexco at the Logistics Festivals in Spain

In the month of May/June 2023, Globelink Uniexco was pleased to be participating in various Logistics events in Spain, to meet and to share experiences with companies in the Logistics Sector.

XI Logistics Festival of Barcelona, Buti Buti

This event was organized by Diario del Puerto, the leading newspaper in Spain specialized in the logistics sector, and it took place on May 26 at the Port of Barcelona. As with every year, Globelink Uniexco is proud to be one of the sponsors for the festival.

The event is organized to strengthen the union and harmony among the thousands of industry professionals who are dedicated to logistics, promoting something as valuable as the structuring of this industry sector to get together with drinks, desserts, music and a great desire to share a good time.

IV Algeciras Logistics Festival

Globelink Uniexco also attended the IV Algeciras Logistics Festival on June 9 at Dársena del Saladillo (Puerto de Algeciras). This event is organized by Diario del Puerto and Propeller Club Algeciras (an international business network dedicated to the promotion of the maritime industry, commerce and global trade). Once again, the event seeks to bring together professionals dedicated to logistics, and it was another great event to share experiences with all companies in the logistics sector.
