Last week, we wrapped up the Globelink Group’s Annual Conference 2024, held in the bustling city of Singapore, home to our Headquarters and parent company, CWT Pte. Limited. This year’s conference brought together over 170 participants from across the globe, making it another memorable and impactful event.
Under the leadership of our new management team, Mr. Michael Wang, Chairman, and Mr. Anthony Yap, Deputy CEO, the conference set the stage for a future of collaboration and innovation. Strategic plans were unveiled, complemented by interactive discussions that inspired fresh perspectives and aligned us for the exciting challenges ahead.
Our evenings were filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and camaraderie as we bonded over exquisite meals and refreshing drinks. The highlight was the spectacular “Tropical” themed gala dinner, where the ballroom was transformed into a vibrant tropical paradise, as participants embraced the theme with colorful, tropical attire.
The gala dinner commenced with a traditional Chinese dragon dance, a dazzling performance symbolizing prosperity, strength, and good fortune. This vibrant display perfectly set the tone for the evening, seamlessly aligning with its celebratory spirit. The atmosphere was further elevated by the enchanting performance of a live jazz band, whose smooth melodies and rhythmic harmonies filled the room with sophistication and warmth. Guiding the evening was an exceptionally engaging emcee, whose energy and charisma lit up the room. His ability to connect with the audience was unmatched as he led interactive games and hosted a lively birthday celebration for the November babies, sparking laughter and excitement throughout the night. The energy in the room was brought to its peak, creating a vibrant and joyous atmosphere that served as a truly memorable finale to the official conference. The event concluded with an exclusive tour of CWT’s Mega Logistics Hub and the Singapore Wine Vault, offering participants a rare glimpse into one of Southeast Asia’s largest integrated warehouse and container depots, along with the cutting-edge wine storage facilities. It was a great opportunity to demonstrate CWT’s commitment to sustainability, digital transformation, and innovative logistics solutions. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this event a success, from our inspiring guest speakers to the organizing team, and most importantly, to our amazing participants. Introduced in 1995 by the Daily Cargo News, this annual award ceremony is to recognize and celebrate the year’s outstanding individuals or associations and the impact that they have had on the Australia’s Shipping & Maritime industry. Globelink Australia was awarded Highly Commended Freight Forwarder of the Year for the second time in a row and Sales & Customer Service Manager, Doreen Vrankar won Highly Commended for Young Achiever against 12 other finalists.
