Globelink Group CEO Summit 2026

Globelink Group's CEO Summit 2026 was successfully held in Singapore from 10–11 June 2026, bringing together senior leaders from across our global network for two days to discuss strategic priorities, exchange ideas, explore AI-driven initiatives, and strengthen collaboration across our worldwide organisation.

The summit commenced with inspiring opening addresses by our Chairman & Group CEO, Mr. Michael Wang, followed by Deputy CEO, Mr. Anthony Yap, who shared their perspectives on the evolving logistics landscape, the Group's strategic direction, and the importance of collaboration, adaptability, and innovation in navigating an increasingly dynamic global market.

Over the two-days programme, participants engaged in a series of strategic discussions, including the introduction of a new panel discussion format. Designed to encourage greater interaction, the session fostered open dialogue, diverse perspectives, and meaningful exchanges of experiences among leaders from different regions. The interactive format promoted collaborative problem-solving and reinforced the importance of leveraging our collective expertise to drive the Group forward.

Notice: Palletization Mandatory For Oman Shipments

Oman Customs has introduced a new regulation requiring mandatory palletization of imported cargo to enhance cargo handling efficiency, facilitate customs clearance, and improve the overall flow of trade.

Implementation Timeline

• Effective 15 July 2026
Mandatory for all imports entering Oman via land border crossings.

• Effective 15 September 2026
Mandatory for all imports arriving via airports and seaports.

Cargo Subject to the Requirement
All cargo requiring loading and handling must be securely placed on wooden, plastic, or metal pallets prior to shipment.

Exempted Cargo
The palletization requirement does not apply to cargo that cannot be practically palletized, including but not limited to:
• Liquids
• Heavy equipment
• Pipes
• Fibers
• Stone blocks
• Other similar cargo

Important Notice
Please note that shipments that do not comply with the mandatory palletization requirements may be rejected by Oman Customs and returned to the country of origin, resulting in delays and additional costs.

We kindly encourage all shippers and consignees to review their packing arrangements and ensure compliance before dispatching cargo to Oman.

Notice: Update to Pakistan Custom Rules

Pakistan Customs has amended the Custom Rules to include additional mandatory information for cargo entering the country via sea ports and land border customs stations.

Importers will be required to provide additional identification details as part of the Import General Manifest (IGM) declaration.

Importers must provide one of the following:

• National Tax Number (NTN) or Federal Tax Number (FTN), where applicable under relevant laws; or

• Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) Number or Passport Number, for importers who are not required to obtain an NTN or FTN under the law.

The new requirement will take effect on 15 August 2026 and will apply to all seaports and border customs stations.

Note: This requirement does not apply to air freight shipments.

To facilitate smooth customs clearance, and to avoid unnecessary delays and potential Customs penalties, customers are encouraged to ensure full compliance with Customs regulations within the prescribed timelines.
